Joe March 20, 2021 for Model Number LDS5540ST I ordered and received a replacement micro switch for my LG-dishwasher. The part # on the old switch is VF533A-5FR it’s made by DECO. It has a metal bar on it that applies pressure to the switch when the cam switch spins around on the cam motor. The new switch SW40025L that was sent to me doesn’t have this metal bar . Question- Will this new switch work without the metal bar , I don’t want to be taking this dishwasher apart again. Thank you, Joe B.

May 05, 2018 for Model Number LDS5040WW hi, I recently received micro Switch 3W40025L and the replacement switch does not have the metal bar on the side with roller wheel at end (extend about 1/2" past end of switch) that rests on the vario motor cam. I dont see how the new switch will activate although the chat agent says this is the correct replacement part. the old switch has stamped part # VPS33A-5FR not sure how to proceed? This bar is needed to get to the cam shaft . When the shaft turn , the cam will push on this bar that will then push on the red button on the micro switch .
