Shantel, if you can hear or feel the compressor running if there are no loud click noises from the back of the refrigerator and the freezer is cooling properly, then you will need to check the circulating fan in the refrigerator and or the auto damper in the air tunnel on the back wall of the refrigerator.

Hello Sanjay, the code refers to a compressor relay problem (no start), however, your model does not have a relay it uses an inverter circuit to control the compressor, so on your model, it is pointing to a possible compressor or sealed system problem, you would need to contact a service technician (familiar with the brand) for further checks to pinpoint the problem.

Attila for Model Number LFX31925ST/02

Hi so i have this LG fridge my wife noticed that the ice cream wasnt frozen all the way in the freezer. The temperature on the door shows 36 for the fridge and 0 for the freezer . The compressor is running and I did the test on the back on the PCB board I believe its called. It shows error code 22. When I looked it up it said its a Compressor relay. But when I checked this model has no relay only a Compressor overload protector. And I dont see here when I am looking for a relay at the parts section either . What is your suggestion with this error code 22 on this model. Thank you .

1 Answer

22 is not an error code. In test mode, it indicates that the Damper is closed. Error codes will only be displayed on the front display unit of the fridge and be displayed in an Er FF display fashion. Pressing Ice Plus and Freezer button simultaneously should display any stored error codes.

Tonya, it would be recommended that the evaporators are inspected for a frost pattern. If the compressor is running and there is not a frost pattern on the evaporators, an EPA certified individual would be necessary to test the sealed system as there should be a frost pattern on the evaporators. If there is an iced up evaporator, the defrost system of that section would need to be tested. The freezer defrost heater MEE62225112 should measure between 42 to 50O of resistance, the fuse should have continuity, and the defrost sensor should measure more than 22kO (sensor and fuse are a part of the defrost control assembly ACM73919214). The refrigerator defrost heater MEE62105217 should measure between 105 to 117O and the refrigerator defrost control assembly 6615JB2005R would be tested the same as the freezer section.

Dave, When testing continuity you should have a closed reading and if the part is reading open then it would be faulty.
