When washing clothes I get a PF code, was told that the PCB control board may be going bad. Is there a replacement that directly replaces the EBR38163357 PCB?

Hello Marshall, the control board has been discontinued by the manufacturer, there are no substitutes listed.

Runs through a long part of the cycle, then time remaining stalls at the 18 minute mark, keeps doing wash/spin forever. Can get by if turn off/on and start a rinse and spin only cycle.

John, based on the information given and that an error code has not been identified, the most likely issue is going to be with the main control EBR38163357 as the unit continues to repeat the final rinse and spin cycle. You may want to check to ensure that there are not a lot of suds that appear in the unit when empty and in a wash cycle as this can cause issues. If the suds are not excessive, then it would make the control the most likely cause. Unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

The washer stopped. Started the machine again it started to drain for a second then stopped. Now nothing . No lights and won't do anything.

Butch, With the unit having no power this will most likely be caused by a faulty main control board.

I am having a few issues with my washer. I think this is the correct part to replace now. I was getting codes that said to replace the water valves when I took them apart the cold water was leaking and the hot was electrically charged possibly arching. After replacing them them the cold water main wash doesn't stop running and eventually gets a code FE. I checked the OHMS on both valves and they are good. Also there is a red light illuminated on the PCB assembly. Do you think this part is bad?

Michael, Yes with getting the FE error code and the water valves having been replaced then the issue will most likely be caused by the main control board.

I have a LG front load washer flashing error codes, dE & OE, I have replaced the door switch & the Washer pump. it is still flashing the codes. do i need to replace the electronic control board?

Carol, With the error codes that you are receiving and the drain and door lock have been replaced then it would most likely be the main control board causing the failure.

We always do our laundry cold/cold. However sometimes the hot side comes on in pulses. We know because the on-demand propane water heater comes on in pulses during washer use even though only cold is ever demanded. We end up having to turn the igniter on the water heater off to get through the wash cycle; very annoying. This happens intermittently but is seeming to get more frequent. Somehow the hot valve is engaging erroneously. Never any error codes. Any ideas?

Hello David. This machine is setup and designed to mix in hot water to break down the soap. There is nothing that can be done to stop this from happening.

My washer will not spin or drain. The drum turns freely by hand and turns during the wash cycle and it will spin when I run on spin cycle only. Drain is clear, nothing clogging or blocking the drain filter or drain lines. Both issues started together. Would seem to be more of an issue with the control board, is seems to me. What am I overlooking?
