Matt for Model Number 795.74029.411

Both refrigerator and freezer compartments do not get cold enough. I've carefully monitored for 3 days with an internal digital thermometer. The temperature in both compartments ranges: at best setting (34) the refrigerator cycles from 41 to 36 degrees and back to 41 over and over. Each cycle takes about 45 min. Set at 37 degrees...it ranges from 41 to 48 and back to 41 again...over and over. Similarly...the freezer ranges from 15 to 9 then back to 15...over and over. Oddly, ice cream is not hard frozen....pretty soft, which surprises me at these temps. Is it the temp sensor? PCB? Can't find anyone on the web who describes the same issue. Best...Matt

Hello Matt, this is an LG ref model built for Kenmore, what you are describing sounds like a sealed system problem, likely it is the compressor failing. You may want to contact a service tech to check further.

Eric, You will want to check the door switch on the refrigerator side as it could be faulty and would trigger the instaview to not work.

Ylon for Model Number LG LFC25760TT Refrigerator-French Door Bottom Freezer

I have an LG LFC25760TT-french door, bottom freezer fridge. One of the wires in wire harness is broken. This wire harness is plugged into the thermostat controller on top of the inside of the refrigerator portion. This wire has disconnected the function that allows the temperature in the panel to be visible. I can no longer see what temperatures are in my fridge but otherwise is functional. This harness is dropped down through a round opening in the refrigerator frame and is then connected to the fridge thermostat. They are located at the very top of the inside of the fridge. I have 2 questions. 1. What is the part that I need to purchase to replace the wire harness with one wire broken? 2. How is this replaced as I only see the opening where the wires come through but no panel to open. Thank you for your assistance.

Hello Ylon, unfortunately, a wire harness that goes into the refrigerator plastic liner wall is not a replaceable harness.

Steve, it would be recommended that the refrigerator temperature sensor is tested for resistance to identify if it is reading properly. At 50°F the resistance should measure 19.53KO and at 41°F it should measure 24.13KO. If the sensor measures outside of this range, the sensor would need to be replaced. A sensor that fails by reading colder temperatures than there actually is would cause the evaporator fan to not operate properly.
