The Roller Kit is an OEM part for LG dryers. This 4 roller kit includes replacement drum support rollers, which are essential for allowing the dryer drum to rotate smoothly during operation. The rollers are designed to provide stable support for the drum, minimizing noise and ensuring efficient drying performance.

Over time, drum rollers can wear out due to continuous use, exposure to heavy loads, or lack of proper lubrication. When the rollers become damaged or worn, they may develop flat spots, lose their smooth surface, or begin to squeak. These issues can lead to improper drum rotation or increased strain on other dryer components.

Symptoms of a bad Roller Kit include:

  • Loud squeaking, rumbling, or thumping noises during operation
  • The dryer drum not spinning or rotating unevenly
  • Excessive vibrations while the dryer is running

This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

For Lg Roller Kit (Part Number: OEM21661296)

Kari for Model Number DLE5955W

2 yrs ago I replaced the front 2 wheel bearings as the front right failed. A yr ago the same one failed so I replaced the front 2 again...6 months later the same right front wheel failed, so I replaced this time all 4 rollers. I made sure it was level, checked the pulley and the belt, all look great! Fast forward to today(4wks later) and my back right wheel ceased up on me. Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?. The rollers are compatible to the LG 4581el3001a

Kari, Try to lubricate the shaft of the roller and if this does not correct then it may need to have the shaft replaced.

Marsha, It would be recommended to check the drum to make sure that the weld on the drum has not come loose around the roller area and if this checks ok then you would want to get the roller part number 4581EL3001E and would need 4 of these.

Hello Eugene, You should never put a lubricant on the drum rollers since lint will stick to the lubricant and get pulled into the bushing. This will wear the bushing out faster than dry installation. the bushing is impregnated with a dry lubricant that will lubricate as it wears. If a lubricant has to be used, cornstarch or baby powder should be used.

Hello Gary, You should use a dry paper towel to clean the shafts and install the rollers dry. They are impregnated with a dry lubricant so when they wear, they self-lubricate. Never use a wet lubricant on the rollers since lint will stick to it and be pulled into the bushing and they will fail prematurely. If you must use something, use cornstarch or baby powder and do not use too much. Rotate them before reassembly since they can bind with too much.
