Mary Ann W. December 22, 2013 for Model Number DLE5977W The LG Tromm dryer makes thumping noise when it starts up but then after a while it sounds ok. I read that it might need replacement rollers. Can you tell me what to order and how many. My husband is really good at repairing things as he is retired from GE and is a farmer.
1 Answer Mary Ann, the roller listed for your model is part number 4581EL2002L. Your model uses four rollers, two in the front and two in the rear. Thanks! Read More...
Jody G December 18, 2013 for Model Number LG Dryer Model: DLE2515S Hi, my dryer starting making a thumping noise (like all the others I have read about ;-)), but then it developed a crack in the drum. I'm thinking a roller must've developed a flat spot and because of the continuation it cracked the drum. I would just like confirmation that I am indeed ordering the correct parts to fix this. I have 4 rollers (part # AP5688895) and the drum assembly (part #AP5736149). Is there anything else you think I should be addressing? Thanks in advance for the help! Jody
1 Answer Jody, Based on the description and the parts that you plan on ordering it sounds like your are right on track and would not need any other parts. Read More...
Dave November 10, 2013 for Model Number LG DLE5932S In the parts schematic, K250 refers to the entire roller assembly (with axle) while K251 refers to strictly the drum roller wheel. Your site points to the same part number for /both/ K250 and K251 (Part Number AP5688895). Two questions: 1. Is this a database error by chance? Your competitors have different parts for K250 vs. K251. I'd rather buy from you :) 2. For an oft-used 7 year old appliance, how likely will I need new roller axles? I know the wheels are shot but the wheels are about 1/4 the price of the wheels+axle & would rather not spend unnecessarily. Thanks!
1 Answer Hello Dave, The part number, 4581EL3001A, that includes the wheels only, now crosses to the wheel and shaft assemblies 4581EL2002C, 4581EL2002L. This is a change done by LG. Read More...
Cathy July 24, 2013 for Model Number LG Dryer DLG0452W I believe my dryer needs the rollers replaced. Item number #4581EL2002C How many do I need? Also, do I need to replace the Axis with each roller?
1 Answer Cathy, You would need to have 4 roller assembly 4581EL2002L if you need to replace all of them. The rollers come with studs for the rollers. Read More...
Alicia June 18, 2013 for Model Number dpgt750 GE Dryer All the parts I have already replaced have turned out to be LG parts. When I order them under the GE part number, they cost 50% more, up to double the price of the exact GE part. I know that they are the exact same parts because a belt I recently purchased has the GE part sticker placed over the LG sticker. I have already replaced this part once, with the LG part, and the belts are both the same, made in USA by Goodyear. My question is: I would like to order drum rollers also and the LG rollers cost way less. Is this LG part number the corresponding part for GE part WE03X10008? LG: 4581EL2002C Thanks so much!
1 Answer Hello Alicia. Sorry, but we have no way of crossing parts to different manufactures. You will need to contact the manufacture for this information. Read More...
Chuck May 25, 2013 for Model Number Dle8377nm My dryer makes a squeak right when it starts and stops. It was squeaking a little while running then I moved the drum around a few times and hasn't done it sense. It also seems to stop more abruptly then before with a quick squeak when it halts. Im going to order a new belt, idler assembly and some of these roller assemblys. Its 6 years old and gets used alot. Any idea what the squeak upon stop/start?
1 Answer Chuck, The squeak is most likely going to be caused by the rollers on the shaft. Replacing the rollers will normally stop this issue. Read More...
Ted L February 27, 2013 for Model Number dlex3001r When our dryer is on it has a thumping sound on each turn. It sounds like a roller going bad. I have not opened yet but had similar noise in a previous dryer. You show roller assy and another part for the roller about 4x more in cost what is the difference
1 Answer Ted, The roller part number 4581EL3001E is just the roller. Part number 4581EL2002L is the complete roller and shaft assembly. Read More...
John T January 13, 2013 for Model Number dle 0332 w Our LG dryer will not start most of the time. It hums but will not start. If we manually turn the drum several times, we can then get it to start. From looking online, it looks like most likely cause of this is worn drum rollers. Is this correct? If so, I see you carry these, but need to know how many I would need for this model. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello John, The rollers would not have any bearing on the motor not turning the drum. This issue would be a bad motor 4681EL1008A not allowing drum to rotate. Read More...
Beth J. November 23, 2012 for Model Number DLG3788w My dryer stopped rotating . Before that it sounded like metal on metal with occasional squeaking. It appears the front roller is shredding a bit. The belt is intact. I believe I just need one roller. What is the part number and are they available?
1 Answer Hello Beth, If one failed, the others aren't far behind. I would not recommend to only replace one but all 4 drum rollers 4581EL2002L and the idler pulley 4560EL3001A to prevent going back in too soon. If a roller locks up during the cycle it will break the belt and cost you even more. Also, as a note, use a dry paper towel to remove any residue from the roller shafts before installing any of the wheels to prolong their life. Read More...
