For Lg Sensor Assembly (Part Number: OEM15633510)

Di for Model Number WT5001CW

I have replaced the clutch assembly, and the agitator in the tub do to mechanical failure and that all seems to work ok. Now we cannot wash a load without getting a UE code even running the washer empty on rinse and spin. It does not seem to be out of balance. The tub does move around a little when spinning. I checked the washer for being level and it is dead on and feels secure on the floor. I looked at all the suspension rods and none are broken. They all have spring tension and movement. I don't know how to tell if they are worn out. What would be the most likely cause for this EU code to occur when it is not out of balance?

DI, Check and make sure there's nothing stuck under the wash plate or between the tubs, make sure the washer is draining properly. You didn't mention any abnormal noises so the next check would be the wiring between the control board and the motor rotary position switch 6501KW2002B Rotor Position Sensor Switch, if all's OK then replace the switch assembly.

When I try to turn my washer on, I can hear the startup music sounds, quieter than they were before, but the display does not come on and none of the other buttons do anything. The washer would leak a little when draining(when it worked) and shut off mid cycle. I used to unplug it and let it set for a bit then it would turn right back on and I could put it on spin only to finish the cycle. Now, I've checked the hoses to be sure they are tight and unclogged.

Matt,

With this issue the most likely cause will be a control board issue with the Error coming up but not actually getting off balance.

Tim,

In most cases the LE code would be a bad RPS sensor and would need to replace the sensor. If the sensor does not correct the issue then it could be wiring issue.

Tim,

The sensor would not have anything to do with the unit not draining. If there is no power to the pump then check the wiring harness to make sure no loose or damaged connections. If this checks ok the main board would be the issue.

Becky, The overfill could be due to a clogged, kinked or twisted air tube between the tub connections and the water level switch. then check to make sure the wiring harness at the water level switch is attached properly and tightly. If all's OK replace the water level switch. You didn't mention an error code in the display, but you'll want to recheck the electrical connections at the motor stator and clutch as well as the brake actuator. Check the linkage between the clutch and brake. You'll also want o check the wiring at the control boards. If All Checks OK, then you'll need to check the main control board.

Rjdewey,

Unfortunately there is not a way to test power to the pump without filling the unit with water. The sensor is a water temp sensor and would have no effect on the unit not draining.

Hello rockinrobin. Check the bearings and make sure the inner basket is not loose. If it is, it will cause the issue you are having with the unit. If the bearings are good, you will need to check and make sure the shocks are good for the outer tub assembly.
