Questions & Answers

For Lg Sensor Assembly (Part Number: OEM15633510)

1 Answer

N Whitaker,

This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty main control board with the unit continually going through the spin cycle.

Rejeania, the terminals where the power cord EAD60778452 connects to the noise filter 6201EC2002Q would need to be inspected for any burn spots. If it is clear, the most likely failure would be in the power cord based on the information provided.

Thierry for Model Number WT5680HVA

We noticed a leak under our washing machine. This always happens after three or four loads. The water spills out and runs over the top of the tub and into the breakdown where the EBD50360202 overflow sensor is located. I can't figure out why the water is spilling in this area after three or four loads. Also, the display panel does not show any water leak code. We know there was a slight leak only by looking under the machine. We think the sensor is bad. We tested the continuity of the sensor with a contact on both electrodes and it is good, but not good when submerged in water. Can you help us with the sensor ? Any ideas why the water spills over the tub ? No problem with water level in the tub.

Thierry, for water to spill out of the top of the tub one of a few things would be occurring. The water level is too high which can be caused by a partially blocked or blocked pressure hose, there are excessive suds that would be coming up during agitation or spin, or there could be a crack in the tub. These things would need to be inspected for.

Michael for Model Number Kenmore Elite 79631512210

My washer shows no error codes but does not fill with water. When I start the cycle, It makes a few clicks, and then starts to agitate the clothes, as if the washer has water in it. I have continuity to all the solenoids, I've replaced the pressure switch, swapped the mainboard, and still had the same results. It will fill, spin, and drain in test mode, and the display shows a change in pressure as the barrel fills up. There was some water/lint contacting the overflow sensor EBD50360202, but there was no change after cleaning it. I also tried it with the overflow sensor disconnected but got the same result. I get no continuity through the overflow sensor. Any ideas?

Hello Michael,
This is most likely a programming issue in the Main PCB Assembly EBR75639504 since it can be forced to operate in the test mode but will not go through the program correctly.

Mike, this is going to indicate a lid lock failure. This can be caused by the lid lock EBF61215202, the lid not activating the lock properly, or by the main control EBR75857901 (main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available). With the washer power cord unplugged, the lid lock can be tested from the main control using the connection WH6 from pin 1 with the black probe of a meter to pin 3 with the red probe. With the meter set to DC voltage, starting a cycle should cause 16.5VDC to register on the meter if the main control is working properly. If it is, then the lid lock would need to be replaced.

Dexter, based on the information provided, either there is a broken wire going to the drain pump or the main control is not sending voltage. It is recommended that the wires are tested for continuity to identify if there is a break in either of the wires. If there are no breaks, then the main control EBR76262101 is not sending voltage to the drain pump. Unfortunately, the main control has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Ken for Model Number WT5480CW

Hello, My LG top load has displayed "PE" on a couple of occasions. In both cases, I removed the back cover and noticed the Sensor Assembly # EBD50360202 (AP5211167) located in the bottom tray was surrounded by a rust-color grime. Once I removed the sensor, cleaned it and the tray, the washer seemed to work fine. This seems to happen once every 4-6 months. I cant find any noticeable leaks, hoses leaking, etc. Has anyone seen this issue before and might could point me in the direction of a common area of concern on this model washer? Do you think this part should be replaced as well due to the issue? Thank you in advance.

1 Answer

Ken,

There would be some type of leak or splashing issue that would cause water to get where that sensor is located. There is no known cause of this issue occurring without water being splashed or dripping.
