Rick October 13, 2019 for Model Number WM2501HWA getting a DE code. I can hear the Solenoid click twice then again in 30 seconds or so it does it again. Ends with a DE code every time. I replaced the A440 EBF49827801door latch. same issue. what next? I have read it might be the control board?
1 Answer Hello Rick, since you have already replaced the latch assembly, check for any problems with the latch hook in the door, then check the wiring from the latch backward for any loose connections before replacing the control board. Read More...
Taylor August 19, 2019 for Model Number WT1101CW Out of nowhere washer gave out error code dE. We already replaced the lock switch part # EBF61215202. The Error is still popping up. It won’t lock or hear a clicking sound. We can’t even start A load without the droid code popping up. Any suggestions where to looks next?
1 Answer Taylor, Trace your lead wire back to the control and make sure there is a good connection at the control. You can also check the wire from the lid lock to the control for continuity. If that tests good then the control would need to be replaced. Read More...
Joseph May 23, 2019 for Model Number LG Washer I have LG washer machine WM3670HVA. It has a DE1 error code, I changed the door lock (new piece) but it still with the same code. What can I do?
1 Answer Joseph, you will want to ensure that the wiring connections are securely in place on the lock as well as the control. As this is a new lock, if the wire connections check good then the most likely issue would be the control not operating properly. Read More...
Judith July 25, 2018 for Model Number WM0532HW Washer code LE. I have had trouble with the door lock for a long time (including throwing the code) but always worked after an extra nudge. Was giving me a lot of trouble locking this past week.Washer threw code LE and water still fills and pumps thru the top. Unplugged the washer for about half a minute and still same problem. This washer has a spray from the top between tumbles and it is working. The washer will not tumble. I'm no repairman but I often fix my own appliances with help from videos. I took the back off and looked at those copper coils and they were amazingly new looking. I read that the door lock switch can cause the washer not to tumble or spin. I also checked the drain, it's clean. I know this washer is getting very old and the switch needs to be replaced anyway. Can you offer any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Judith, The most likely cause of this fault code is a failed rotor position sensor (RPS) 6501KW2002B. In some cases, there could be an issue with the harness to this sensor from the control or even an issue with the control 6871ER1023R. Read More...
Kim May 10, 2018 for Model Number WM2277HW My door does lock. The machine will start and then mid-cycle the machine stops and the de error code appears. I can sometimes get it to run thru a complete cycle, but not very often. Would this be the door latch or something else? Thank you!
1 Answer Kim, This would most likely be caused by the door lock assembly or the door strike being damaged. Also check the wiring to the door lock assembly as it could be a loose or damaged connection. Read More...
Skyler December 06, 2017 for Model Number WM2233HW Hi, my LG Tromms door won’t lock, I have replaced the door lock twice now in hopes that the one I bought was faulty, but not the case, the hinges are perfectly fine and the boot is also clean with no tears and is sealing good, when I press to start the washer I hear double click in the back of the washer but the lock in the front never makes a sound or even moves, how do I check to c what the problem could be? I checked the wires going to door lock and I get constant power to one of the wires, I believe the yellow one maybe, but is there something else I should check? Or what could be the problem, need to get this fixed so I can wash some clothes! Thanks!
1 Answer Skyler, With hearing the clicking in the back of the unit but door not locking then this will be a issue with the main control board since the wiring checked ok. Read More...
Dave F October 06, 2017 for Model Number wm0642h Hi. DE error code on wm0642h front load LG washer. Replaced the door lock assembly. Door, hinges, rubber, and latch all appear fine. Unplugged and let sit. Still get DE error code. Any ideas?
1 Answer Dave, With the door lock being new, you will want to check the wiring between the main control board and door lock assembly. If this checks ok then this will most likely be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Dan August 12, 2017 for Model Number Wm0642hw My door does lock and the light lights. However my problem is the washer does not pu,p the water. I changed the pump motor and checked all the lines for blockage. It fills up fine, agitates fine but then sits there with water till it finally gives one error. I was wondering if the door lock switch has any contacts that are in series with water pump? I am frustrated. I believe it is something simple.
1 Answer Dan, You will want to test for power getting to the drain pump. If the drain pump is getting power to it then you will want to check for clogs in the drain system and then if the system is clear then this will be a faulty drain pump. Read More...
Matthew H July 31, 2017 for Model Number WM2455HG I ordered a part online (not from you guys which may be my issue) and installed it. I was getting a DE code and washer will not lock. I put new part in and still get DE code. I can hear latch clicking but it still will not lock. Is there a possibility that the new part is faulty? Is there a way to check? If my control board was bad I wouldn't be getting the signal to make it click would I? Also, if I hold the door open should I see the latch move when it is trying to engage? I hear the clicking but can 't see any movement. Thank you.
1 Answer Matthew, While it is possible that the door lock that you received is faulty you will also want to check to make sure that there is no damage to the door strike on the unit. The door lock is the most likely cause for this issue of not locking. Read More...
Randy July 05, 2017 for Model Number Kenmore H3 front load washer 796.41162410 The washer is not filling up completely in all cycles. We were told there should be an inch of water in the unit, but there is not that much there. There are no error codes and we had replaced pressure sensor switch. Would this be the inlet valve? or something else? Thanks
1 Answer Randy, This issue sounds more likely that it would be a faulty water valve on the unit. Read More...
