Rikki June 14, 2020 for Model Number DV220AEW/XAA The cover won’t stay on the lint filter… do I really need it and if I do can I buy it separately from the lint filter?
1 Answer Rikki, Based on the model of the unit you have, the cover is part of the design and it now only comes as part of the filter when purchased. DC97-16013A Read More...
Brian May 25, 2020 for Model Number DV210AEW/XAA How important is the flap on the lint filter for this model? Mine broke off a long time ago. Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Brian, the dryer will work without the flap , it is there in case the lint filter is removed for cleaning and not replaced before another load is run in the dryer. Read More...
Tammy June 20, 2016 for Model Number DV330AEW:XAA 01 I've started having problems with clothes getting caught on the filter and noticed that it doesn't seem to fit flush into the case anymore. Do I need to replace the lint filter and the case, or just one of those parts?
1 Answer Tammy, The lint filter should be the only part that you would need to replace as it can get out of shape and not sit flush. Read More...

Valerie P. November 22, 2015 for Model Number DV405ETPASU/AC I need a new dryer lint filter for my dryer when I looked I seen one that looks the same but when I use your cross reference tool the model number never has the letters AC only AA does this make a difference? As I do not want to order the wrong part. If you can let me know so I can order the part that would be great. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Valerie, DC97-16013A is on the manufacturers' parts list so it should work. DC61-02613A is also on the parts list for this model number so I would recommend ordering the one that most resembles the one in your unit. We apologize but, the compatibility tool is still in work and should be disregarded until it can recognize the part and model numbers. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Doug C. October 21, 2015 for Model Number DV338AEW/XAA-0000 Purchased new about 5 years ago. Old house had short exhaust and noticed lint outside. New house has longer exhaust and had to have exhaust line cleaned. In 5 months we noticed the clothes taking longer to dry and we found our screen outside was clogged with lint. We clean the dryer screen after every use and it's just the wife and myself. It looks to me like the screen on the dryer allows lint to get by. P/N is DC61-02613A screen however in the store I noticed Samsung added a baffle to the new screens (thus trapping/reducing) lint blow-by. P/N DC97-16013A. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Doug, The lint screen is designed to catch the larger lint particles and there will always be some lint that escapes past the screen. The smaller particles should be carried out of the ducting by the air flow. It is common for the screen on the outside wall to clog when not periodically cleaned. I strongly recommend the use of a flapper door design and do not use the outside screen since it is easily forgotten about until there has been a failure of the dryer. Removing it prevents restriction of the air flow which will let the clothes dry faster saving energy and wear and tear on the appliance. Read More...
