Daryl for Model Number Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA Fridge - DA97-15217D Ice Maker

Ice continually builds up around the ice maker and there's a big chunk at the back of the ice maker. I've replaced the ice maker in the past. I've also applied the recommended sealant to all the seams. This was also done by a repairman. Is there something that needs to be done to the ice chute that can limit the accumulation of ice? I'm planning on again replacing the ice maker. Can it be removed even with the accumulation of ice at the back, or do I have to turn off the fridge and wait for the ice to melt?

Hello Daryl and thank you for your question. It is possible to carefully remove the ice maker and clear the ice. However, it would be recommended that the ice maker section and all seals and seams be inspected for the point of the air leak.
