Kim March 12, 2019 for Model Number RS265TDBP/XAA Woke up one morning and the refrigerator was not working, both freezer and refrigerator side warm. The lights work, just warm. I moved it to the garage and it's been there for 3 months so now I am trying to fix it. I replaced the control board and no change. It sounds like it is running, when I plug it in it clicks a few times then humms the screen on front displays say off on temp. Not sure what else to check or replace? The other board below the control board, at this time you are out of them. Any other suggestions.
1 Answer Kim, you may want to test the compressor windings for resistance. The resistance of each winding should read 10 ohms. If it does not read 10 ohms, then you have a bad compressor [MKV190CL2J/SM1]. If the windings test good, then the inverter board [DA92-00111B] would be the most likely issue. Read More...
Steve September 22, 2017 for Model Number RS265TDWP-XAA The water is a mere trickle and the ice production almost non-existent. I have replaced the water valve, twice, and three filters, sumsung products all. Still no better. I have even tried leaving the filter out. Is there a motherboard that controls the flow of water from the filter to the ice maker and water dispenser? At least one that is accessible and replaceable?
1 Answer Hello Steve, You will need to order and replace the filter case DA81-05886A on the unit. Thank you. Read More...
Jorge March 16, 2017 for Model Number Samsung RS265TDRS The freezer working fine. Refrigerator not cooling. What can be model samsung RS265TDRS
2 Answers Hello Jorge. You will need to check for a defrost issue inside the fresh food section. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Sean December 28, 2016 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA I replaced the heater assembly few weeks ago. I still hear noise like a fan hitting ice. Would this cause the refrigerator side to be warmer? Should I replace the main control board or is there a defrost timer? Where is the main control board and timer location?
1 Answer Hello Sean, If the sound is the fan hitting ice you will need to remove the rear freezer wall and see what the frost build-up looks like to determine if the problem is with the defrost circuit, an air leak, or a water leak from the icemaker. A defrost issue causes a blockage of air flow to the fresh food side so it can cause the fresh food side to warm up. The main board is on the rear of the unit and acts as the defrost timer. Greg September 14, 2016 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA Fridge intermittently quits cooling, display says 34 thermometer inside says 60 I unplug fridge and plug it back in and display reads correctly. Samsung tech came out and said it tested fine and left 5hours later it was back to 60, called tech again he said it is a compressor issue, but if I put it on power cool and power freeze it works fine, doesn't sound like a compressor issue, is it the main control board?
1 Answer Greg, The compressor would most likely not be the issue. This would most likely be either the thermistors or the main control board. Read More...
Bobby September 01, 2016 for Model Number RS265TDRS/XAA Refrigerator is acting like a freezer. Temp on door shows 46, sometimes it flashes. System wouldn't work, powered on but no cooling. Paul June 02, 2016 for Model Number RS265TDWP/XAA Freezer working fine. Refrigerator not cooling. The fan to the fridge side seems to be trying to run but cycles off quickly. Tech came out and said the main control board wasn't delivering power to the fan. Ordered a new control board. Installed it. The fan cycled a couple times then silence. Temperature in the fridge still hovering around 50F. Freezer good. What should I try next?
1 Answer Paul, You will want to check to make sure that the fan is receiving 12 vdc to it. If it is then the fan is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
