For Samsung Main Power Control Board (Part Number: OEM14101437)

Kim for Model Number RS265TDBP/XAA

Woke up one morning and the refrigerator was not working, both freezer and refrigerator side warm. The lights work, just warm. I moved it to the garage and it's been there for 3 months so now I am trying to fix it. I replaced the control board and no change. It sounds like it is running, when I plug it in it clicks a few times then humms the screen on front displays say off on temp. Not sure what else to check or replace? The other board below the control board, at this time you are out of them. Any other suggestions.

Kim, you may want to test the compressor windings for resistance. The resistance of each winding should read 10 ohms. If it does not read 10 ohms, then you have a bad compressor [MKV190CL2J/SM1]. If the windings test good, then the inverter board [DA92-00111B] would be the most likely issue.

Hello Jorge. You will need to check for a defrost issue inside the fresh food section. Check and see if there is any frost build up on the evaporator coils in the freezer. If so, you will need to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat. They should read closed for continuity when cold. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. I will include a link at the end to assist you how to use the multi-meter if needed. If both parts are good, you will need to replace the defrost timer. Once the problem is repaired, you will need to thaw out the ice on the coils before the unit will operate properly. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Sean, If the sound is the fan hitting ice you will need to remove the rear freezer wall and see what the frost build-up looks like to determine if the problem is with the defrost circuit, an air leak, or a water leak from the icemaker. A defrost issue causes a blockage of air flow to the fresh food side so it can cause the fresh food side to warm up. The main board is on the rear of the unit and acts as the defrost timer.

Greg, The compressor would most likely not be the issue. This would most likely be either the thermistors or the main control board.

Hello Bobby. If you have replaced the thermistors and the main board, then only thing left is the display board DA97-08703L for the unit.

Paul, You will want to check to make sure that the fan is receiving 12 vdc to it. If it is then the fan is faulty and would need to be replaced.
