Joe, if the temperature stays at a constant when over the set temperature, the sensor would need to be tested for resistance when heated with a hairdryer and a thermometer next to it. It should measure 1132 Ohms at 95°F, 1151 Ohms at 104°F, 1170 Ohms at 113°F, and 1188 Ohms at 122°F. If the sensor stays within this range, the failure would be the main control. However, if the temperature just continuously rises without actually stopping, the element and wires would need to be tested for continuity to ground to identify if there is a grounded circuit causing the overheating.

Carl, the wiring connection from the display DE07-00129A to the main control DE92-03761B will need to be inspected to ensure that it is secure. If the wire is securely in place, the most likely issue would be a fault in the display.

Always, you will want to inspect to ensure there is not a loose connection in the wiring from the main control DE92-03761B to the display board DE07-00129A. If there is, it will need to be corrected. From there, the main control would indeed be the most likely issue, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not have a testing procedure for flashing LEDs as described. Since the clock is working properly, there is not an issue with voltage supply, but as the border lights are flashing this is going to indicate either a bridged connection in the display or a communication error at the main control. A communication error is much more likely to occur than a bridged connection.
