Hi Tony. When was the last time you changed your water filter? If it has been less than 6-mos. your light indicator should turn green. If you are after 5-mos. it will be orange, then at the 6th- mos., it will be red. This will adversly effect the ice maker fill and dispenser operation. Your ice maker is an automatic ice production type. Normally it takes 24 hrs to start production. Hopefully it already has started producing ice for you by now. Make sure that your ice maker arm is not touching the bin. It takes 6-hrs.to harvest a first ice.Throw away the first 2/3 x to make sure the ice /water fill is clean. The switch needs to be in the on position. It is extremely imperative that the ice maker is level for the inside level switch to tell the ice maker to function. Do this first by checking the top of the fridge for level . Side -to- side, front to back. The switch will turn off after sensing leveled tray, and tray tempurature for 2-hrs. Is the ice on cubes or crush on the control panel . Thank you.

Hello. Typically replacing an icemaker is quite easy. First, look over the existing icemaker to see how it is secured to the wall of the appliance. Once you remove any restricting bands, braces, or screws the icemaker should slide right out. Unplug it, and reverse the process to reinstall the new one. I hope this info helps!
