Kc August 21, 2012 for Model Number RF267AARS We noticed that our ice was not coming out of the opening. We had a hard time remocing the ice tray because the entire tray was frozen. Water had frozen the tray in place, water had frozen along with the ice in the tray, and water had also filled up in the side panel and completely encasing all the wires. We turned off the icemaker, carefully cleaned out the frozen water. After we turned the icemaker on, we noticed that water was dripping out of the IMC701 icemaker. Sagasu September 25, 2011 for Model Number RFG297AARS/XAA 1) The icemaker started making a single clank noise at about 2-3 second intervals for about 12-15 times prior to dropping the load of ice. Then it stopped making ice altogehter for several days. I hit the reset button a couple of times and after a few days, it started making some ice again. Mike C September 20, 2011 for Model Number Samsung IMC 701 Ice Maker Hi. I have this ice maker in a GE GFSS6KKXASS fridge and the ice maker has stopped working. The water dispenses from the front and all of the freezer controls are set at the proper temp. It was sort of a slow death as the ice production slowed for a period of time (months) and now it completely stopped. I pushed the test button on the side and that doesn't do anything. Think that replacing the ice maker will fix the problem or might it be something else? I'd rather not purchase and find out that it wasn't the problem. Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks a bunch. (Did some Internet research on this and it appears I'm not the only one with this issue.)

Jesse September 16, 2011 for Model Number RF26VABBP Hi, I have a similar issue as mentioned below. I hear about 3-4 quiet clicks followed by a fairly loud pop sound. It waits for a few seconds and then tries again, multiple times. Upon removal, I noticed that the ice cubes were all frozen together so that the arm couldn't move the cubes. I thawed out the ice maker, installed a new filter and reset the filter indicator but it still does the same thing. Is this a sign of a faulty ice maker? I also noticed that the water dispenser doesn't really dispense cold water..moreso slightly cooler than room temp (not sure if it's supposed to or not)..could that have anything to do with it? I have temps set for -2/38 as suggested Thanks

Steve September 12, 2011 for Model Number 1MC701 My icemaker stopped dispensing or making ice several weeks ago.After, turning the ice function off then on again from the touch screen functions on the front of the side by side refrigerator doors. The ice maker seem to start making ice again for a day or so ,but very little ice was be generated then it started making a clicking noise that would sound like it was trying eject ice cubes but could not. I then unplugged the ice maker removed the unit,thawed out and removed cubes manually. In addition, me reset water filter indicator light has been ON( for months) and will not go off even after changing filter and holding button for 3 seconds as instructed. Do I Need to buy new ice maker unit ? Refrigerator that this ice maker is in is a GE Profile model#PFSS6PKXASS side by side refrig / bottom freezer. Ice make is located in upper left side of refrig. compartment.
