This temperature sensor monitors refrigerator compartment temperature so the control board can regulate cooling. Replacing a failed sensor restores accurate temperature readings and helps the refrigerator maintain steady cooling performance. What it does:

  • Detects internal air temperature and sends readings to the refrigerator control board
  • Enables the control system to cycle the compressor and fans correctly
  • Common symptoms of a bad sensor: inconsistent temperatures, refrigerator or freezer too warm or too cold
  • Can cause frequent running, temperature-related error codes, or defrost/ice-making issues when faulty
What's included: One temperature sensor Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing to avoid electrical shock
  • Handle the sensor and wiring harness gently; connectors and sensing probes are fragile
  • Route and secure wiring to match original routing to prevent pinching or false readings

For Samsung Temperature Sensor (Thermistor) (Part Number: OEM12423003)

Andy for Model Number RH22H9010SR/AA

Hi! may I ask how to fix the Error Code "23 C", I replaced the Assy. Cover Dispenser P/N AP5915358 was purchased through your website, but it did not fix the problem, I understand the code 23 C refers to Freezer Defrost Fan, but the Fan is working fine, Is it referring to the Heater? Please guide me to the right parts to replace. I watched a video suggesting troubleshooting through the Main Board by measuring the voltage/signal is out of tolerance, but I have no means of reference/wiring diagram to compare.

Andy, Thanks for the question!!! The 23 C error code is a condenser fan error. Which is the fan in the back of the fridge next to the compressor. The voltage of MAIN PCB CN74 2PIN - 1PIN needs to be between 7V~12V. If the voltage is correct replace the fan motor, incorrect voltage replace the main control. Be sure to locate your model revision when ordering parts as there are about 10 revisions of this model.

Kirk, with a thermometer placed in a liquid that has been sitting in the refrigerator for a minimum of 12 hours and the power cord unplugged, it would be recommended that the refrigerator thermistor DA32-10105U is tested from the main control. At the connection CN30, the black wire at pin 5 would be tested for resistance to the grey wire at pin 7. The resistance should be 3344Ohms at 37°F, 3670 Ohms at 34°F, 3933 Ohms at 32°F, and 4218 Ohms at 30°F. Once the resistance has been identified, it would need to be compared to the temperature reading on the thermometer.
