Ed April 04, 2025 for Model Number ADE3SRGS175TW01 The dryer spins and gets hot when you set it on max heat but not on timed heat, I'm suspecting a bad timer based on the comments on the website, but it says that the timer is no longer available, is there a replacement timer still available and do you still stock it?
1 Answer Ed, the timer used with the model provided is going to be dependent on the serial number. If your dryer serial number is 1912999999 or lower, the timer D519156 would be used. If the serial number is 2001000001 or higher, the timer D517559P would be used. Unfortunately, the timer D517559P has been discontinued by the manufacturer and there is not a compatible substitute timer listed. Read More...

1 Answer Mike, You will want to check to see if the heater is getting power to it. If it is not then check the thermostats and make sure that they have continuity. If the thermostats are good then either the motor or the timer is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
Curt August 26, 2019 for Model Number ADE3SRGS173TW01 I have this Speed Queen electric dryer that shuts off after a few minutes, did some research and found that the most common cause is the motor overheating. I purchased a new motor and installed, and am having same problem. I sent a question earlier and neglected to mention that the timer advances but does not shut off at end of cycle, you have to open door to stop dryer. I wondered if timer causes this or could it be thermostats not performing as they should? Thanks for all your help
1 Answer Curt, based on the information provided the issue would be with the timer contacts not operating properly. As such, the timer D505797P would need to be replaced. Read More...
