This is an electronic clock control board that is made for use with ovens and microwave/oven combination appliances. It is located at the back middle of the range and includes a small display window. The control panel is used to manage the oven functions like baking and broiling. It also includes a clock to show the time of day.If the oven cannot be changed from bake to broil, it may indicate the part is no longer working. A test of the heating elements can determine whether this is the case. Before starting the replacement process, make sure the range is not plugged into the wall and the oven and cooktop are both cool. Open the oven door to access the screws that hold the control board. Unclip the ribbon connection before removing the part. Reverse the process to install the new part. The electronic clock control board is sold as a single part. It is an authentic OEM replacement part that is compatible with wall ovens and microwave/oven combos from Jenn Air.

Edward for Model Number jmw8530aab

I am asking for more help. I have installed a new AP4089341 control board and have a display but the fan continues to run and after a few minutes, the oven starts to beep and I get a F2 error code. I can then cancel the beep and it's quiet for a longer time before it starts to beep again. When I try to bake and hit auto set 350 degrees appears for preheat and after a few seconds, the oven starts to beep and I get a F5 error code which I then cancel. After a minute or so the process starts all over again with the F2 error code. I did check for voltage at the Jl connector harness and had voltage at l and 2 wire or 3 and 4 wire, I don't know which. The other wires did not have voltage. When I unplugged the J1 connector harness, it still beeped intermittently. Can you help me? I'm really confused. Thank you.

Hello Edward. Check and make sure the temperature sensor is connected good to the new control board. If so, you will need to replace the oven temperature sensor 12001656. The fault codes F2 and F5 are for the oven temperature sensor. Hope this helps.

Hello Edward. Yes, the 17 wire connection pulls off the board. You can try using a flat blade putty or butter knife to work it off one end at a time. Then push the wire connection onto the new control board WP71003424. Hope this helps.

Edward, Check the J1 connector wire harness for 12 VDC from wire 1 to wire 2 and 24 VDC from wire3 to wire 4, no voltage you will need the main relay board 74006613 on the righ5 side of the control compartment. If you have the voltage, you'll need the ERC/Clock WP71003424, Clean he insertion end of the touchpad ribbon and the clock connector pins, with electric contact cleaner or alcohol, and insert it back into clcock and check the oven operation. Thanks and good Luck.

Hello Carolyn! An F5 error code on a JennAir indicates that the Electronic Range Control will need to be replaced. Your part number is WP71003401. The dusty like odor coming from the top oven could be due to it being rarely used. I would not worry about that too much unless there is an issue associated with an odor. Hope this helps!
