For Whirlpool Washer Agitator (Part Number: OEM9283554)

Arnold, as the motor is operating but it does not spin the basket, the brake WP6-2011900 would need to be checked to ensure it is disengaging. If it is, the mounting stem 6-2095720 and tub nut WP6-2110472 would need to be inspected for any indications of corrosion or degradation.

Hello Nora. If you ordered the complete agitator, it should be ready to go for you. Thanks.

Blane, Yes the bolt for the agitator will screw down into the top of the gearcase drive shaft. If the bolt has broken off then you would have to use a extraction tool in order to get it out.

My agitator is broken -- the shaft with the spines just sits atop the agitator base. I believe it is supposed to be held down by a bolt, which is still in place, but whatever plastic the bolt holds between itself and the base of the agitator has shared off. I would like to replace these parts: the shaft, the spinning assembly atop the shaft. From the diagram found here (http://www.appliancepartspros.com/agitator-basket-tub-parts-for-estate-etw4400xq0.html) I believe that I require the parts labelled/in the boxes: 16, 20, 19, 1, and 3. Is this correct? What part numbers are these?
