Lm January 10, 2022 for Model Number Whirlpool Model WTW4800BQ1 I am unable to remove the agitator bolt because the lower agitator spins indiscriminately. I cannot get any leverage on the bolt. How can remove the agitator bolt? Do I need to take the back off the washer to hold the motor?
1 Answer LM, the tool being used will need to be tapped firmly to loosen the bolt until it comes free. Otherwise, the lower agitator WP3951632 would need to be cut out. Read More...

Pedro E. February 28, 2015 for Model Number WA422PRHDWR/AA-0001 My washer made all the cycle, but doesn't spin. What do you think has is happened ?
1 Answer Pedro, if the washer fills, washes and drains, but doesn't spin, Remove the cabinet and tub cover and check for an article stuck between the tubs and/or tub cover. If All's OK, check and replace the clutch 285785 and brake 285438 assemblies, it's probably worn out and slipping. Read More...
Sal December 15, 2014 for Model Number LSQ9110KQ1 When agitating on normal, the agitator turns only one direction and ties the clothes up around itself. If I run it on delicate cycle, it works fine. Kinda like the agitator ratchets itself along on normal cycle.?
1 Answer Sal, If the lower agitator is only moving one direction then the issue would be the transmission that is the issue. If the upper part is the issue then it would be the agitator dogs that is the issue. Read More...

Linda P. June 18, 2012 My Whirlpool washer model# WTW57ESVWI, agitator has lifted up about an inch and a half and won't wring out the clothes. I can't get it back down. Is there a way to fix it?
1 Answer Hello Linda, The agitator hasn't raised up but the inner tub has dropped. The spanner nut under the agitator has loosened and the tub has settled on the drive block, wallowing the center hole in the inner tub out too large for the drive block to properly support the tub. The drive block WP389140 and the inner tub W10389328 will probably have to be replaced to correct the issue. Read More...
D.J. February 23, 2012 for Model Number LSQ8243HQO My agitator spins directions the top part and the bottom part and my washer is leaking water only during the spin cycle. I purchsed a repacement kit for the upper agitator but wondered about the bottom one. I also wondered if the pump could be the problem for the water leak. Can you advise me?
1 Answer Hi D.J. Block your unit up w a sturdy paint can or a couple of 4x4 wood blocks. Look up under the unit at the front of the pump. In the center area it is common that they begin to wear out through the front. Pump part # WP3363394. If you see the motor coupler has begun to wear out and there is black rubber and plastic parts under the center. The motor coupler is part # 285753A. Thank You. Read More...
