If this control board has shorted out, the oven may not respond to user input. Before installing this part, be sure to cut power to the appliance and allow it to cool completely. The oven's control panel will need to be removed to access the old component. Disconnect any wire harnesses connected to the old control board and remove any screws mounting it in place before installing the new part. This is a genuine OEM part compatible with ranges manufactured by Whirlpool brands, including Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and others. For Whirlpool Control Board (Part Number: OEM18057828)

Mike for Model Number KEBS208SSS04

I need to determine if I need to replace the electronic control board (part with LEDs) or the electronic control. Upper oven heats up fine if set to 300F. If I set oven to 450F it only gets up to 417F. Upon checking the amperage used while “preheating” sometimes it draws 11amps for a short time but it mostly draws less than one amp. Two different temperature probes indicate that when the oven says it is preheating and stuck at 417F the temperature is actually about 40-50 F less than what the oven indicates. I swapped the thermocouples from the lower and upper ovens and still get the same problem. The bottom oven works properly. Both parts are quite expensive so I need to buy the correct one.

Connie, The F2 E1 error will be a faulty keypad but since it has been replaced then the control board would need to be replaced.

Hello Marcus. 1. Unplug oven or disconnect power. 2. Check wiring to both switches on the door latch between the latch and the control. If wires to either switch contact ground, they can cause this error. 3. Check wiring to oven temperature sensor(s). If OK, check resistance values for oven temperature sensor(s) to ensure they are in the correct range. Sensors having resistance values out of range will cause this error. 4. Check oven door switch. If there is no error, go to Step 5. 5. Replace oven appliance manager. 6. Replace all parts and panels before operating. 7. Plug in oven or reconnect power. 8. Verify operation is normal. Enter into Diagnostics mode by pressing OFF > OFF > START and complete checks.
