Jml585 September 20, 2023 for Model Number kg25hoxaq Hi, My mixers planetary keeps falling off. The shaft is in place, but the bottom falls off revealing the splined shaft. Is that a pressed in part there are no holes for a pin to secure it. Also, the mixer is a light green (pistachio) color do you have the part for this mixer? Thank you in advance, jml585
1 Answer Jml585, the pistachio planetary would be part number 9708190 for the model provided. However, based on the information provided, it sounds like the retaining pin WP9707223 in the gearcase housing may have broken. The housing would need to be disassembled and the worm gear follower W11086780 section inspected for any indications that the pin either broke or slipped out. Read More...
Kevin April 29, 2023 for Model Number KP26M1XMY Is this planetary available in yellow? If not… is it possible or advisable to swap the color plates with the new unit once I have one?
Don Ramm July 17, 2021 for Model Number KP26M1XER I entered this model number - which I got from the bottom of the mixer - on the page to check for compatibility and it said that it was not compatible but it offered the same model number with a "5" on the end. I looked at the part on this page: https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-assy-empire-red-wp9708180-ap6013766.html ...and it looks exactly like the one we have. So are KP26M1XER and KP26M1XER5 the same thing?
1 Answer Don, Yes, these would be the same as far as the planetary goes. If you got the part number off the parts page then it is the correct part that would be needed. Read More...
Gina Lee August 17, 2020 for Model Number KV25G0XWW My mixers planetary plate comes off. On MY mixer the shaft is not one piece as I have seen in the videos. Will this part-AP6013761 -fit my mixer, (which seems to be an oddity)?
David June 19, 2019 for Model Number Kitchenaid stand mixer K5SS Leaking oil from planetary gear shaft. Is there a rebuild kit or can I purchase the entire planetary set (white)? What grease is recommended?
1 Answer David, you may want to check the center shaft o-ring [WP67500-55] for damage and wear as this would be the most likely cause. The planetary would only be the housing without the gears and such in this case. The grease that would be needed is part number [W11200218] and it would be recommended to clear out the old grease when applying the new grease. Read More...
