The Dryer Drum Baffle is an OEM part for Whirlpool electric dryers. Located inside the dryer drum, this rectangular component divides the airflow and improves drying efficiency. During cycles, the baffle helps separate clothes and direct heat more uniformly for even moisture removal throughout the load. This is the taller baffle. For the short one order WP33001755

Causes of a bad drum baffle can include constant impact from heavy loads, wear and tear over time, or damage from foreign objects in the drum.

Symptoms of a bad drum baffle include:

  • Slow or prolonged drying times as air cannot circulate properly
  • Some areas of clothes feeling damp while others are dry
  • Lint or hair wrapping around a cracked or broken baffle
  • Noise or vibration from a damaged baffle hitting the drum wall

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.
