Steve August 15, 2017 for Model Number 11042.......... the rest is rubbed off I have a kenmore elite he 3t. It sounded like it crashed, when I pulled the top plate, I noticed the spring had pulled through the spring bracket and metal support for the bracket. I cannot find the spring bracket and wonder if it had one?? If I use the slot behind it towards the rear, and with the opposite spring in the front slot, will the seal still line up correctly?
1 Answer Steve, With having one spring on the front part of the bracket and the other being in the rear it will cause the unit to get off balance and will not operate properly. Read More...
Dan June 10, 2015 for Model Number 11045091400 I am replacing the suspension springs on my washer and may have to replace the spring brackets. Do they come in a packet of 2 or 4 ?
1 Answer Dan, These spring brackets and springs come as one per package. You would need a total of 2 of each due to unit only having 2 springs. Read More...
Jenny May 13, 2014 for Model Number ghw9200lw0 My husband just replaced the part for my washer "Front bellow tub seal", but somehow the washer door stayed locked. What should we do now? Please help, Thank you
1 Answer Hello Jenny, Unplug the unit from the wall outlet. Remove the lower front access panel and reach up too the door latch assembly. Reach up along the inside of the front and locate the bottom of the door switch/lock unit. Located on the bottom of the door switch/lock unit is a tear-drop shaped tab. Gently pull the tab down about a ¼” or until a click is heard. The door may now be opened. Read More...
Ellen P. March 03, 2012 for Model Number 110.42822201 Our washer makes a loud racket, particularly when going into the spin cycle. It has been doing this for a couple of years. A sears repairman commented that it might be a broken bracket and that the washer might last a few days or several years. Obviously, it has lasted a while, but wondering if it would be worthwhile to fix. Can a reasonably competent DIYer do it? Would I need special instructions or is it fairly simple and obvious if I take the front panel off? What do you think?
1 Answer Hi Ellen. Remove the top, lower front and back by removing the torx type size t-20 screws. The top slides back and up. Look down into the machine to see if the upper springs are not into position resting in the fwd notch of the cabinet spring brackets part # WP8181763. Look down under to see if the shocks part # WP8182703 1/ea. have broken or leaks. They twist one way and lock into place. Look at the back and unhook the motor belt. Rotate the back pulley and if the rear pulley nut part # WPW10283361 is loose it needs replaced. They are a one time application only. Inspect all and let us know how to assist. you further. Yes these repairs are easily completed by a D.I.Y's. and are very simple, noticable repairs. Anytime you hear clunks or broken metal parts, it is a sign of immediate repairs needed. Thank You.
