Jose F Pflugerville , TX December 06, 2014 Whirpool duet 10 years old drum would make a rocous during spin cycle Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Trent S Brandon , FL February 14, 2016 Appliance: Model 110.42922200 Excessive motion and noise during high speed spin Replaced the 2 suspension springs and 4 shocks - your videos made it easy enough that anyone able to grasp a tool could accomplish the same repair. Nice trick with the rope to remove and replace the springs - even showed my kids and had them replace the springs. James B Page , AZ February 01, 2016 Appliance: Whirlpool Washer GHW9300PW2 Noise on spin cycle Opened up the back of washer after watching video on your web site that told of possible noise coming from drum bearing and seal. Upon removal of top and back cover I was happy to see that the drum bearing was not leaking. I took the belt off and spun the drum and it was quiet and then spun the motor and the noise was coming from the motor. Also noticed the right rear Shock Absorber was covered with a rusty look and the area around the base below it was covered with brown dried up grease. I consider myself lucky that only had to replace motor and shock and not have to split the drum and all that other stuff. Hope to get another 5 years out of this washer.
