1 Answer Charlie, The start capacitor would not be causing the issue. You will want to check the motor and make sure that the actuator is good and that there is nothing causing the motor to bind. It could also be that the gearcase is faulty. The best option is to get the tech sheet from the control panel and run the unit through a diagnostic to see what error codes are stored. Frank May 31, 2014 for Model Number WTW4950XW1 My whirlpool washer (model# WTW4950XW1) wont start. It just shows sensing then it does a lock/unlock/lock mode then nothing happen, the sensing green light stays on with a blinking on red light. I bought the lid switch from you but it did not do anything. Please help. Thanks.
