The Charcoal Filter is an OEM part for Whirlpool microwaves. This filter is designed to remove cooking odors and smoke from the air circulated through the microwave's venting system. It is especially important in over-the-range microwaves that recirculate air rather than venting it outside. The filter measures about 12 inches wide by 6 inches deep. This is a 2 Pack.

Causes of a bad charcoal filter can include saturation from grease and odors over time, blockage from accumulated debris, or deterioration of the filter material. Regular replacement is necessary to maintain effective air filtration and proper microwave performance.

Symptoms of a bad Charcoal Filter include:

  • Persistent cooking odors lingering in the kitchen
  • Reduced ventilation efficiency
  • Smoke not being properly filtered during cooking
  • Noticeable decrease in the microwave's air circulation

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
