Uspp! August 16, 2011 for Model Number ARB8057CSL I have an Amana refrigerator with a bottom freezer. At 7yrs of age the compressor went. After a $760 repair the compressor failed again (4 mos)and for some odd reason the new compressor was not available for three months. I am wondering if the first replacement compressor was not the right one and caused a major failure where the tech now says the refrig is not repairable due to oil bound lines. The first repalcement is an EMBRACO EGYS-80HLP. Is that correct replacement compressor? Or did they do my refrig in by installing the wrong type and cook my frig. as the tech also stated that it overheated and melted the pan. I am unable to cross reference the compressor that Amana says should be in the unit a W10160407.

Bill August 09, 2011 for Model Number 596.58642890 Compressor is running constantly and evap is frosted on just top 3 or 4 coils freezer only pulling down to 20F. Suspect compressor. Is this a 134A compressor and if so can I just use automotive 134A to recharge. Thanks!

Fred Thompson August 09, 2011 for Model Number MBL2562HES I just had my compressor changed out on my Maytag MBL2562HES and they repalced it with a AP4357103 which is a Embraco EGX70HLC. After a few days running the refrigarator compressor sounds noisey and they say it is what it is. Any suggestions?
