Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Control Panel (Console Assembly) (Part Number: OEM18048885)

Patricia for Model Number gu2275xtvy1

The start button won’t light or work. I have done the reset and it will start the dishwasher, but the start button will not light. A couple years ago the rinse aid dispenser quit working and we see a slight dark spot on the connector ribbon that goes into the control panel. It looks like the start button was repaired in the last. I need a gray button panel if I can still get it. Unless you think it could be something else? My husband did check the thermal fuse and it is ok. Do you have suggestions? Could it be the board and not the panel? If you do have a part what is the number for the gray panel (for stainless dishwasher). Thank you!!

Hello Katherine. The blinking light is an error code for the unit. You clear this out by running a diagnostic cycle. The tech sheet on the unit will tell you how to run a diagnostic cycle.
