I've checked the drain hose and all is clear throughout the drain hose and entry to garbage disposal. Is it possible I need a control panel??

Bill July 29, 2013 for Model Number Kitchenaid dishwasher KUDM25SH If I buy the control panel assembly and find out its not the problem, can I return it? The ribbon connector has burn type marks on some of the wires so I'm almost sure that's why when I push the start button, nothing happens. No lights on any of the buttons either. Unfortunatly it doesnt appear that the ribbon connector can be replaced by itself. I've checked the door latch switch and thermal fuse and both are good. There's power to the unit also.

There is not a conversion kit available that includes all parts, they have to be purchased separately. The front door panel in black is part number WP3379375.
