Rick January 10, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool gu3200xtps0 The dishwasher was running and it’s normal cycle when we started to smell something burning. It smelt like an electrical component was burning. When we try to restart the dishwasher it was completely dead. The smell was coming from the buttons at the top of the dishwasher. Could this be just a board that is at the top of the dishwasher or could have something else burnt out?
1 Answer Rick, This issue sounds likely that the control board in the door has failed and will need to be replaced. The part number for the control board is WP8564547. Read More...
Repairman June 01, 2017 for Model Number GU2400XTPS7 Nothing seems to work. When I power this up the Hi-Temp light flashes continuously, and the Normal light begins flashing continuously, a few moments later. They stay flashing until its unplugged. After the Normal light begins to flash, the Hi-Temp light continues, but it is dimmer. The door handle feels like it has no resistance when I put my hand in there to close or open the door. It feels broken.
1 Answer Hello Repairman, A rapidly blinking LED over one of the keys of the keypad (or sometimes a “dead” keypad/console) indicates one or more key switch lines are stuck or shorted on either the control WPW10084141 or the keypad WP3385741. As a note, the keypad is the first suspect. It can be tested by using the wiring diagram behind the kickpanel of the unit. If the door latch 8193882 or handle WP8534984 is broken, it will not cause the blinking light but would need to be replaced. Read More...
Tom October 19, 2016 for Model Number GU2400XTPS6 The light above the normal cycle button continuously blinks if I remove the power and plug back in the timer shows 2 minutes than drains some of the water out and than shuts down and the normal light starts to flash again and the timer shows two straight lines and now I just power it back up and the pot cycle light is lite and the heated dry is lite solid lights and the timer shows two straight lines that are light and even with the door closed and no other buttons work except for the cancel which turns off all the lights after about 2 minutes it goes back to the continuous blinking light on the normal cycle with the door closed and no other buttons will work closed or open. Help please

Peter B May 29, 2016 for Model Number GU2275XTVB3 The clean light flashes when the dishwasher is completely done but doesn't go into sanitized and I depress the sani rinse button. The dishwasher now won't allow me to clear the board and flashes clean. I had a repair person clear it once he said it got locked. The machine is now doing this again. What do I do to clear it?
1 Answer Peter, The clean light flashing in sequence of 7 flashes then this would be a issue of a failed heating circuit. You will want to check the heater for continuity and the thermostat for continuity. If they check good for continuity then check the wiring between the control board and the heating element. If this checks ok then the control board would be the issue. Read More...

Mus October 20, 2015 for Model Number GU2400XTPS7 My dishwasher has a time remaining digit display. It is showing "--" on the display. All keys work fine on the control panel. But pressing start button will not start the unit. Tried to turning off dishwasher breaker.. No help.. Ran diagnostic mode. Shows d3 and runs diagnostic cycle with no issues. Pressing cancel initiates 2 min drain cycle. I had the control panel (part# 3385741) already replaced from this site on 1/5/2014, because of a stuck/shorted key problem. Owners manual says -- means that door is not closed properly. Tested both door switches with multi-meter and both are good. Is it another problem with control panel again? Or is the logic board this time? Could it be thermal fuse? Please help.
1 Answer Hello Mus. You will need to repair the door switches or latch. The error is for bad door switches. Make sure the unit is level also. You need to look at the wiring on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Dan October 10, 2015 for Model Number GU2400XTPB3 My GU2400XTPB3 will not turn on. The only light flashing is the Pots and Pans and it does this continuously. If I hit Cancel, Normal turns on/off and when I hold Cancel, Solid pots and pans and Normal flashing continuously. Any ideas as to why this is? Thanks
Joanne A October 02, 2015 for Model Number GU3200XTPS3 On the unit, dishwasher will not work. The only displays that will light are: Pots and Pans with heated dry and time remaining. Glass express light and time remaining. Rinse only None of these controls activate the dishwasher to start. I can press Cancel and drain" and it will drain. Also, the latch does work to lock, but it does have a lot of play Thanks
1 Answer Joanne, This issue sounds like it would be caused by a faulty control board. The control board part number for your unit would be WP8564547. Read More...
David L September 18, 2015 for Model Number GU2400XTPB3 On October 2, 2010 I purchased a console assembly Part #AP3774276 from Appliance Pros. I replaced the existing console assembly and the dishwasher was repaired. Yesterday the dishwasher stopped working during the cycle that would remove the water from the basin (standing water now in the dishwasher). I checked the electric panel to make sure it wasn't an electrical supply issue and it was not the problem. The console assembly does not light up nor did it have any flashing lights, etc. It just stopped working. I am planning to purchase another console assembly but I'm wondering if there are any additional electrical parts that could cause this problem. If I order the console assembly and that is not the problem, can I return the part to Appliance Pros. Thank you, Dave
1 Answer David L, The console assembly would be the most likely cause for the issue. Here is a link to our return policy. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/customerservice/returns.aspx Read More...
