I’ve noticed while trying to search for the part it has multiple versions of the model listed. The 6 digit model number is all I see on the refrigerator and was wondering if you could point me in the correct direction.

Steve July 09, 2018 for Model Number Wpw10204457 ice bin for whirlpool refridgerator The ice bin was frozen on had to pour hot water and pry with screwdriver to release the ice bin. After cleaning the bin it will not seat back into place. It just wobbles on the shaft and will not lock down. Do in need to replace the ice bin or the coupling ?
1 Answer Steve, It sounds like the shaft was pulled up and if you tap it back down it should allow the ice container to seat, just make sure that you do not tap it down too far. You could use a hammer or the end of a screwdriver to tap it down and it should be just lower than the top of the hole it is in. Read More...
