Questions & Answers

For Whirlpool Electronic Control Board (Part Number: OEM18051864)

Edbenchmark, it would be recommended that the door switches WP99002751 are tested for continuity when the power supply to the dishwasher is off and the door is closed. If the switches have continuity and there is no response from the start button, the failure would likely be in the user interface 6-919822. Unfortunately, the interface has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Heinz, as the main control was replaced and the touchpad will only accept input on the four buttons, the failure would be in the console 6-920244. Unfortunately, this part has been discontinued by the manufacturer and is no longer available.

Hello, it sounds like you might have a defective touchpad on your unit. We will need the first 2 digits of your serial number in order to locate the correct keypad, thanks!

I have a Maytag 300 quiet series dishwasher about 10 years old. I do not have a model # FOR it as it came off the door. It has what I believe to be a control panel problem. The electronic control board number is W10111822 RevA. The washer works fine for a while then will start to act up and always revert to the sanitize cycle and then only partially wash and then stop. It will always empty the water if that button is pushed. I was going to purchase a new dishwasher but the decided I did not want to spend the extra money. I turned it on today after I found the control board number and it is washing just fine. So I want to replace the push button panel but cannot find a number to order. Also want some other parts but am unable to order without the model number. Can you help with a model number ? Build date on parts found in door is 2007 Has 12 buttons to push 5 cycles and 4 options

John, Unfortunately there were many different models that were put out by the manufacturer that were quit series 300 all with different features. We would not be able to advise on the model number of the unit.

Hello Jerry. Yes, test for power to the board. If there is power there, and the board does not work, then it is bad and will need to be replaced WPW10218837.

I have a maytag dishwasher that is not acting right. I press wash and get er started, but many times it just goes back to rinse and does not complete the wash. I have my mind pretty much made up that I need a control board. There are three listed on your website and I am not sure what is the one for me. My serial number is 36552354. Can you confirm what board I need based on my model AND serial number. The web site does not narrow by serial number, or at least I do not see where it does. Thanks,

James, The issue would most likely be the control board but the best thing to do is access the wiring diagram. There will be a key on there for the control panel test points for the membrane switch. Check the keypad for continuity using this key and if it checks ok then the control board is the issue. If it does not pass the test then the control panel would be the issue.

Eric for Model Number MDB5601AWB

I have a Maytag QuietSeries 300 dishwasher, model MDB5601AWB that I can't get to unlock. When I hold down the Heated Dry button for about a second and a half, all of the LEDs on the display simultaneously light up for one second, then turn off for about 1.5 seconds, then back on for another second and so on and the dishwasher stays locked. About half of the keys on the keypad behave as I would expect. When I press them the lock LED blinks five times. However, the Heavy Wash, Rinse Only, Auto Clean, Heated Dry, and Hi Temp Wash don't seem to do anything. I have taken the door apart and tried to reseat all of the cables connected to the control board. I have also looked at the ribbon cable that goes into the control board. I didn't see any signs of corrosion or other obvious problems. I tried cleaning the ribbon cable leads with both an eraser and isopropyl alcohol and still no change. I have also left the dishwasher unplugged overnight, but the dishwasher stayed locked after I reapplied power. At this point I would suspect I have a problematic control board and I would need to replace it, but I wanted to get a second opinion before I spend the money to do so.

Karen for Model Number MDB5601AWS3

I have a Maytag dishwasher MDB5601AWS3. The normal wash, sanitize, heated dry, delay, and start buttons won't work. Sometimes I can hit the heavy wash several times and then the start button and it will run, but it only runs for about half the time and then stops. Now it started turning on by itself. I left the house earlier today for a few hours and when i got home it was running. I just replaced the control board, but now the start button won't start at all. Does this mean I have to replace the control panel now?
