It turned out the flat wire from the control panel was corroded. Changed the part and now washer works fine. The control panel was isolated as problem with use of multimeter. I initially bought wrong part thinking that that was the problem, later I figured that problem could be with touch pad and spoke to customer service agent to return but she offered me exchange and if it does not work we will refund for both parts. Sheri B Cincinnati , OH September 19, 2014 Appliance: Model MAYTAG QUIET WASH 300 (MDB670AWB) First the numbers on the diswasher's control panel were garbled then some of the buttons would not work and finally none of the buttons worked and the dishwasher would not function I checked all the electrical connections to make sure the control panel was receiving power. Once I confirmed the electrical was working, I ordered a replacement control panel from AppliancePartsPros. It arrived in just two days and was a cinch to install. Gregory S Crown Point , IN March 21, 2014 The LED control panel lights would change state by its self, could not get the washer to run. TURNED OFF AC POWER at the circuit breaker,verified no AC power Removed the front panel door 16 or so screws from the washer side of the front panel exposing the back of the LED panel. Inspected the control board wiring and plastic housing that screws to the backside of LED panel. Removed the screws that hold housing to the LED control panel and removed the front cover of the control board 1 screw. Looked for any visible corrosion, discolored or fried parts on both sides of the board, checked ok. Inspected the ribbon cable connection to the control board to the LED control panel. Found the ribbon cable discolored about a 1/2 inch from the LED control panel connection. The ribbon is against hard plastic and over time rubbed thru the traces on the ribbon. ORDERED LED CONTROL PANEL, ARRIVED IN 2 DAYS, INSTALLED SAME DAY IN LESS 30 MINUTES, WORKING GREAT!
