Patricia S February 05, 2016 for Model Number MMV4203DQ00 My coupling broke off and the stem is still in the hole. I have a new coupling but I don't know how to get the piece out. This is an Maytag over the stove microwave. The coupling was inexpensive and said it was easy to replace but it only shows the new one being screwed in, it doesn't show how to take the stem out.
1 Answer Patricia, If you remove the bottom screws from the base of the microwave, drop down the base and it will hang there. Remove the 2 screws holding the turntable motor and this should allow you to pull the stem off the shaft of the motor. Read More...

Ruthyb January 03, 2013 for Model Number mmv4205baq I am planning to buy this piece from you for my microwave. The old coupler is missing a piece from the stem and I believe it is inside the microwave and I have no way of retrieving it. But, I do believe that the new one will fit. Will it interfere with the turntable turning or operating efficiently?
1 Answer Hello Ruthy, if a piece broke off of the old coupler it would be best to retrieve it if you can but it's not likely to interfere with anything. Just make sure all of the old coupler is removed from the turntable motor shaft before installing the new coupler WPDE67-00213A. If the turntable turns after you replace the coupler you're probably okay. Hope this helps! Read More...
Marsha Ecklund November 27, 2012 for Model Number MMV4203DW00 The turntable does not turn while cooking and I made sure it is turned on. The parts look ok so what do you think is wrong?
1 Answer Hi Marsha, if you look under your glass tray WPDE74-20002B, you should have a coupler WPDE67-00213A that sits on top of the turntable motor shaft. If the coupler is okay and in place, it should turn when the microwave is on. If the coupler is not turning it means your turntable motor is not working. Check the wiring to the motor and replace the motor DE31-10172C if necessary. Hope this helps! Read More...
