Oliver November 19, 2013 for Model Number KSCS25INSS00 After finding freezer door open and ice a frozen block, I dumped ice. Upon reinstalling bin, no ice would come out. I taped the switch so ice maker would work while door was open. The auger will turn a partial rotation both ways without ice, but will not turn with ice. Flap works. Motor works as I can see part # 25 coupler turn continuously without bin in place. What do I need to fix it?

Kenneth August 13, 2012 for Model Number Kenmore 106.56679500 the ice dispenser is not dispensing ice as it should. I can clearly see that the gear in the door turns as it should and that the gear and attachments move as they should in the Ice Caddie but when the caddie is attached I can see on hear the gears are not connecting and the caddie just up and down as the door gear spends.What can I do to resolve? do I need to change both rears? Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Kenneth, A couple of things you need to check for. Remove the ice bin (caddy) from the door, and check the drivr motor coupling, it's spring loaded and should move up and down, as you press and release the coupler with your finger. Check and make sure the mounting tabs on the door are not broken or damaged. Flip the ice bin over and check the locking mechanism operation, and make sure the ice bin is snapped and locked in place when you install it back on the door.
