Tony, If the control board is charred is a very good likelihood that this is your issue. While there could potentially be other issues with the unit the control board would be the first part to replace then test the unit.

Gene, To get the unit back to operational use the control panel 8524445 would need to be replaced. The user interface has a button on it that gets depressed for start but there is a piece on the control panel that actually pushes on the button when you push start. This is the piece that has broke and requires a new control panel to repair.

Jessy for Model Number KUD102FRSS1

The first problem in my dishwasher, the lights on the touch pad blinking and then I kept touching the button and the HEAVY DUTY CYCLE ran good and lately I tried to run the RINSE ONLY CYCLE and run good also but other button still not working. I thought the control panel is the problem and I order part AP3868446 and when I connected this, it still was not working. No power and the lights on the key pad, but if I connect the old control panel there is light or power but some button is blinking and not working. KUDI02FRSS1

Hello Jessy, Since you tried replacing the control panel already, you have a bad electronic control board WPW10084141. From the description, both parts may be at fault.

Rueben, If you hit the cancel button and the unit will not go back to normal then try to disconnect power for 10 minutes to reset the control. If this still does not resolve the issue then you will need to replace the control board.

Dave, With the unit not starting a wash cycle you will want to first check to see if there is power getting to the water valve. If the unit does not fill with water it will not go into the wash. If there is no power to the valve then most likely is the control board WP8564543 that is the issue.
