P, If you push on the timer skirt see if it clicks. If it does not click then this will be an issue with the timer of the unit.

Julie, If the shaft that the knob goes on has broken off then you will need to get a new timer for the unit which is part number WP3951702 and the timer skirt WP3957849 and knob [AP4983732]

Hello Pat. Check and see if the lid switch is bad on the unit. If it is good, and you can manually advance and it agitate and spin, you will need to replace the timer on the unit.

Hello Larry. It sounds like the dial WP3957849 may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Try removing the knob and repositioning the dial. If it is stripped, replace the dial.

Barbara, In the "cool Down" portion of the cycle, the washer fills with cold water. You need to check the cold water fill hose screen and cold water valve screen for debris and sediment, and clean it out, so you have a good , proper cold fill. Thanks and Good Luck

Hello Gino. You will need to check and see if the lid switch 3949247V is bad or broken. If so, you will need to replace the lid switch on th unit. It will cause the problems you are having. Hope this helps.
