Ben January 18, 2016 for Model Number MDB7749SBM2 I have a Maytag model #MDB7749SBM2. Here's the problem; the detergent door opens within 23 seconds of starting any cycle, therefore, spilling all the contents of the detergent from the main cycle. Obviously the detergent in the "main cycle" portion of the dispenser is NOT suppose to release soap this quick. When I open the main door to the dishwasher and let the dishwasher cool down a few minutes, then the dispenser door latch disengages and I am, once again, able to close the detergent door. Other than that, everything else works fine.

Soap Mess January 04, 2016 for Model Number MDB7749SBB0 I have difficulty with the soap dispenser opening prematurely - within one minute of starting the machine. can you tell me if this is an electrical problem or would it be the part itself? Is the opening of the soap dispenser door timed? I use both the pre-wash and the regular timed cycle table dispenser. I don't want to have to stand by the dishwasher and GUESS when to put in the tablet. Can you help?
1 Answer Hello. Test and see if the control is powering the dispenser. If so, replace the control. If not, replace the dispenser in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Wayne November 11, 2015 for Model Number KUDS301VBLO Looking for the correct seal and soap dispenser for kitchenaid dishwasher KUDS301VBLO. The dispenser shown in search shows part numbers AP5272646 or AP5306128. These are not the same as the dispenser in our machine. The part that looks correct is AP3776575 but this one doesn't come up when searching for our model number. If the first 2 part numbers would work I would try the different dispenser because the one in the machine now is a bad design and does not last (been fixed twice already) Want to make sure I get the correct parts for the machine on the first try if possible.
