Steve February 08, 2012 There are 2 plastic nipples on the back of the dispenser. Mine only has a hose on the top nipple. There is water leaking from the bottom nipple. Should there be a hose hooked up to the bottom nipple?
1 Answer Hi Steve. If the back , bottom dispenser nipple is leaking, then that means there is a internal disp. leak and the water path is being diverted. The whole assy. needs replaced. Part # WP8182704. Thank You. Read More...
Greg November 06, 2011 for Model Number Whirlpool GHW9200L Which cycles do the 4 numbers on top of the Dispenser assembly represent? My washer started in off on 1 then immediately went to 2, stayed on 2 when rinse started, back momentarily to 1, then back to 3, then finally to 4. I was reading one of the above answers that said 1 is soap, 2 is bleach, 3 is softener, and 4 is flush. My softener did not release until the needle was on 4. Is that correct for this machine? The clothes do not seem to have the smell nor softness of the fabric softener on them when done. Thank you.
1 Answer Hi Greg. You are correct. 1-detergent, 2-bleach, 3-fabric softener and 4-rinse. The most common failure is that the softener /bleach siphon cap will get clogged and interrupt proper flow. Part # 8182665. Thank You. Read More...
Sandra August 23, 2011 for Model Number GHW9100LQ1 My dispenser assy is leaking because we cracked it when removing a hose to replace another part (flow meter). When I look in my washer, this appears to be difficult to replace due to space constraints and the spring loaded part on top. I've replaced other parts without issue (pump, water level sensor for example). Is it just tedious or is it complex to replace this part?
1 Answer Hi Sandra. This is a relatively easy replacement part. You will need a small pick tool to assist in release the clasp lock that hold the small elect. connectors. Then a adjustable channel lock type wrench for the hose clamps. The dispenser assy. is part # WP8182704. Thank you. Read More...
