Falls Mom, The dispenser(s) have no moving parts, They actually works on a "syphon" or suction theory. When it's time for the dispenser to operate, the cold water solenoid and the dispenser solenoid activate and fills the dispenser, actually it overfills the dispenser and creates a syphon, and the water and bleach or softener are syphoned out of the dispenser and into the tub. Your first check needs to be at the fill hose and fill valve W10853723. There are screens in the water valve inlet connection and in one end of the fill hoses, you need to check and clean the debris from the screens or replace them. If the problem persists, you may have to replace the fill valve.
