Bart, If none of the burners are lighting then the most likely cause of failure is going to be the spark module 12001596.

Hello Laura, You would want to check to see if the spark module has failed. To check this you would attach meter lead to L wire terminal on spark module and attach other meter lead to N or white. Reconnect power to unit and turn all knobs on light position. If there is no voltage (120vac) at test meter indicates the electrical circuit is interrupted before spark module. If there is voltage then check ignitors by attaching one meter lead to a good ground and the other meter lead to an ignitor terminal. A continuity reading indicates that there is a short to ground and ignitor needs replaced. If no continuity then touch other grounded meter lead to the opposite end of ignitor lead which is attached to top burner mounting bracket. No continuity indicates open circuit in ignitor WP3185804 lead wire and need to replace ignitor. If ignitors are ok then replace spark moduleY705823.

Hello Bob! You will need to turn off power/gas to the unit first. Remove the burner grates and the burner, burner caps, and burner bowls. Remove the screw that holds the burners in place and pull out on the burner a little. Remove the wiring to the igniter (be careful so it does not fall down into the unit and you have to remove the top to access). Remove the ignitor from the burner. You will install in reverse order. Hope this helps you, Bob. Thank you for your inquiry!

Chuck for Model Number Kitchenaid KGCT305A

Spilled milk over knob to burner (not on burner) and the ignitor kept sparking until I unplugged the unit. When it was plugged back in that one burner would not spark or light but other 3 burners work fine. Checked wire connections to valve and to burner and both were clean and the top burner ignitor looked clean and intact. Should I replace the switch ignitor, spark module, or top burner ignitor or all of the above? Thank you for the info! Chuck

Hello Bob. If you remove the burners and the knobs, the main top should lift of to service the unit. Hope this helps.
