Barry Z March 02, 2016 for Model Number KGST307GWH0 I have a front burner that lights only randomly, when I turn on the switch it usually does not click and can only be lit with a match. Or if I light the burner to the rear of it first, then I can light the front burner. Occasionally it will light normally, but it seems that when it does only 1 of the igniters is sparking. Also, after I turn on the any of the 2 rear burners they will continue to spark for 30 seconds or so before stopping. Are there several issues going on here?
1 Answer Hello Barry. It sounds like the burners and caps need to be cleaned on the unit. Also, clean the orifices for the burners. Read More...

James R December 21, 2014 for Model Number AGS745 E Top Burners. I just replaced the spark module for this range which had no spark at all. Upon replacement of the spark module I had plenty of spark which came on and stayed on for all four burner. It would only cease when all four burners were on and on high setting. I suspected and was told by a local appliance parts dealer that it was one or more spark switch was not functioning. Of course the spark switch for this model has been discontinued by the manufacturer. I did find one on line. I opened up the range again and removed all four spark switches and tested them with an Ohm meter. One had no continuity and I replaced it. No improvement. All four still fire continuously. I have checked the leads from the spark module to the ignitors and they all have continuity. I double checked the wiring on the new module and it corresponds although I did find one connection loose which I crimped and re-installed . Still sparking. Where now? Another spark switch? The main ground? I am not sure how to check this connection. The new spark module is bad? Any insight would be helpful. Jim Riley
1 Answer James, What you will want to check is the ignition switches. Test to see if they have continuity when not in the lite position. If they check ok then it sounds like it may be a bad spark module. Read More...
Ted April 13, 2014 for Model Number kitchenaid architect series II Out of the blue all four strikers started arcing. Stove was not being used at the time. Very perplexing. Ted
1 Answer Hello Ted. It sounds like the spark switch is bad and will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Lakrisha January 16, 2014 for Model Number KGRT507BBL3 I have 1 burner that will not ignite. Currently I have to turn the gas valve from the gas line to use the stove. Then once the gas is on, I turn on the back burner & the front burner is then lit. But, even once the burner is lit, it's stays on high flame. I cannot turn the flame down. Not sure if I need the electrode unit or the ignitor switch component.
1 Answer Hello Lakrisha. You will need to order and replace the spark switch WP9751325 for that valve. Read More...
Phil December 24, 2013 for Model Number Amana Gas range model AGS 745W When I turn on one top burner to light, all four ignitors start firing, once the burner lights, three ignitors continue to fire. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Hello Phil, All four sparking are normal. If the ignitors continue to spark after the flame ignites, you need to check the ground to the surface of the unit. If the ground is good, the spark module may require replacement. Read More...
Gail December 03, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore 362.75291790 I have one burner on my gas stovetop that will not ignite, no click, no spark. I check many parts on the site and they say they are not compatible with the Kenmore 362.75291790. I was presuming I needed to replace the top burner ignitor (the other 3 burners light fine) so some help with the correct part would be great. I can light with a match in the meantime!
1 Answer Hello Gail. The part you need WB24K30 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
Lisa September 25, 2013 for Model Number Amana AKG35E gas cooktop I need information on how to change the igniter on this exact model. It looks nothing like the one in the video. The igniter I purchased (3185804) looks like the correct part, but I really need to know how to change it without breaking anything. Thanks!
1 Answer Lisa, To replace the igniter on this unit you will need to remove the grates burner heads and knobs. Lift unit from installation and remove the screws around the perimeter of the burner box that hold the main top in place. Lift the main top and you should be able to replace the igniters. Bill June 04, 2013 for Model Number AGS751 Two of the top ignitors work, two do not. Can I assume that replacing those nonworking ignitors will do the trick ?
1 Answer Hello Bill. No, you need to check and see if the spark switch, module, or igniter is the issue. The switch should close and pass power to the module. The igniter should read closed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
