Gene June 26, 2012 for Model Number Jenn-Aire 88370 The bottom oven element does not heat up at all. We replaced it with a new one, still does not work. The broiler element works. When the oven is turned on the indicator light comes on and the broiler element comes on. The oven temperature knob turns hard. Thanks for your help.
1 Answer Hello Gene. Test for 240 volts coming to the element. If it is not there, you will need to replace the thermostat 700158. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Gnoris February 22, 2011 How do you install. I took 2 screws aloose but not the 3rd in middle, mite not be able to put it back.
1 Answer First disconnect power to the unit. Remove the screws, and pull the element out just enough to get to the wires on it. Unplug old element and hook up new one. Reinstall screws. Test that the element is working properly. Read More...
