Marc F Wildwood , FL March 12, 2014 Bottom element on Jenn Air downdraft range quit working I purchased a new element from Appliance Parts Pros online and received it a short time later. I was able to determine the correct size and element as a result of the picture and graph background. Very Helpful!!! The stove is over thirty years old and so it took some time for my friend to get the old screws out. Otherwise, installation was straightforward. Corinne D Breaux Bridge , LA July 05, 2017 Burnt bake element We have an older double oven, Waste King Universal - Valley Forge Edition - built in the 60's which is no longer manufactured but I love the way it cooks so I really did not want to buy a new one. When the element went out I was very upset because I knew I probably would not be able to replace the part. I decided to try anyway and got on the internet to search for the part. In the process I found appliance parts pro. I measured my element and researched every bake element they had available to find something that was close to what I had. Eureka! I found one very close and ordered it to see if it would work. It did!! I was very excited. Also watched the video online to see how to change it. Very simple. The only problem was that the original screws to attached the element were too small for the connector on the new element and had to be changed, as a result of that, I had to drill out the connectors on my oven to fit the larger screw. In the end, all was great! Did try using the online help during my search, but they were not so helpful. Edward B Vancouver , WA January 28, 2017 Appliance: Jenn-Air Electric Wall Oven 800264-C Refurbing old oven with new heat element light light switch and adjusting convection fan and door latch Removed and replaced heat element. This was difficult due to very short power wires and very tight screws attaching wires to the element connectors. Did most of this by working with a small mirror and various hand tools. Eventually had to cut the connector at the junction of power wire and heat element. Oven fan was made quiet via cleaning and bending the vanes of the fan. Door latch was adjusted via removing and crushing the part that holds the pin with ball on oven. It was too loose so making this "gripper" smaller helped greatly. Door is now tight when closed. Replaced over light bulb. Replaced oven light switch in oven control panel. Thoroughly cleaned over and racks. Entire oven looks like new now and works great. Rather than spending $1,000 to replace this oven, I spent about $65 and a few hours of my puttering time. :-) Read More...
