Jerry December 06, 2019 for Model Number JMW9530CAB Broiler is not working; how do I determine if the problem is the element or something else?
1 Answer Jerry, You will need to test at the wire terminals to the broiler for 240 volts. Or you can test the relay board itself at connectors E8 and E3 for 120 volts and you're checking the broil relay when doing this. No voltage and you will need to replace the relay board. [74006613 ] Unfortunately the manufacturer no longer produces that board but if you google search the part number I have given, you might be able to find one. You may also choose to send the relay board to a company that repairs them [core centric solutions] for the fix. Read More...
Lois July 28, 2014 Jenn-Air range. I had the problem with the connectors being at 90 degrees not straight - it does make a difference. I could not install it. It was touching metal in the back of the stove and shorting out.
1 Answer Hello Lois, Anytime electrical connections contact metal, the serving individual should never apply power to the circuit. In this case, I would recommend to re-post with the model number from your units' I.D. tag and we will search for a suitable replacement for your element. If you ordered a part from us that you cannot install, please contact us at 1-877-477-7278 so we can issue a refund authorization and get your unit operating properly as quickly as possible.
