2 Answers Lela, The W10575393 / W10575393 Filter Guard/Clip Is more for reducing the noise level in the blower plenum. Is it a "mandatory" part for the housing, No not really. As long as you place the filter in the plenum at an angle from bottom to top it'll be OK.
