Daniel Smith June 23, 2026 for Model Number 110.28132410 About a month ago I purchased a transmission for my washing machine. Part number W11393685, and finally found time to replace it. Part is the same except there is flat rubber/metal ring between rubber boot and splines for basket which makes the shaft about 3/8inch short. This will not allow me to screw spanner nut onto shaft. Would I be ok to cut rubber metal/rubber ring off, to allow it to fit? Is this part packaged wrong?

Matthew K June 20, 2026 for Model Number MVWB835DW3 Do you have a transmission case identical to the W11393685 but the shaft is about 3/4” longer. Measuring from the top of the seal, the shaft ought to be roughly 4 1/2”. But the one I’ve received and identical to the picture is 3 3/4”. I’ve ordered this transmission box before from another company that sells OEM parts. However judging by the picture, the shaft does look shorter. Not sure if I got a unique model year or what but the replacement oem part is shorter and does not fit my washer.
