Ed D December 18, 2013 for Model Number RF362LXSSO I ordered two side trim pieces part#'s 8523165 and 8523171 both are black but not glossy like the rest of the stove are these the right parts. Also on the bottom of the side pieces is a plastic nipple that I presume fits in the hole on the door but how the bottom bracket for the glass front then screw into the holes that now have the side trim installed in? Thanks Ed
1 Answer Ed, Yes, these are the correct door trim for your unit and are not supposed to be shiny. On each end of the bottom trim there are 3 holes. The side trim would go into the middle of the 2 and there will then be a screw that goes in the first hole and into the trim. Read More...

Rich July 31, 2013 for Model Number RF368LXSP1 The glass broke. I have the replacement part. How do I reinstall?
1 Answer Hello Rich. To change the glass in an oven door, you will need to determine how to remove the door on the model number you are working on. If you open the door to the first stopping point, some oven doors will lift off the unit in this position. On other models, you will see clips on the back of the hinge toward the opening where the hinge enters the range. If yours is like this, you will open the door all the way open, then pull the clips down until they stop and lock in place. Then close the door to the stopping point and lift the door off the range. If you door does not lift off, and it does not have the clips, then you will open the door all the way open. You will see a hole in the hinge at the bottom of the door. You will insert a pin or nail into that hole and close the door to the stopping point. Then you can lift the door off the unit. Once the door is removed, you will lay it on a soft surface and disassemble the door. Pay attention and make notes if needed for reassembly of the oven door. Once you have replaced the door glass, you will reinstall the oven door back onto the range in reverse order of the way you removed it. Read More...

Abe June 18, 2013 for Model Number GERC4110PS0 Hi, I am looking at replacing Part Number W10144884 (AP4364674) and the part I have is different than the one I received. This new part has a aluminum lip and my other one was flat that just went in a track from the bottom and went in the track of the handle from the top and screwed in with 2 screws. Do I need to disconnect anything from the oven for this to work? I am not sure how the one with the metal lip will fit in to the tracks that are presently on my oven. Is there some kind of instructions on installing this part? Thank-you.
1 Answer Hello Abe! The outer door glass WPW10330077 is a manufacturer replacement and may be difference in appearance however, it will still use the trim peices. The bottom trim will go on the lip. Thanks. Read More...
Dana June 03, 2013 for Model Number SF362LXSS I need to replace the outer glass door using part W10144884. The previous outer glass door broke and it's completely off. Currently the hinges don't seem to function properly now and there was no problem or damage to them. The oven door is hard to open and does not stay open on it's own. Is this just because the outer door is missing? If I purchase the outer door and install it, will the hinges then function properly?
1 Answer Dana, Due to the lack of weight on the door from the door panel missing it could cause the door to raise up and not stay fully open. Replacing the outer door glass should take care of the issue but may need to have hinges as well. Read More...

Josh January 04, 2013 for Model Number GR448LXPS0 I am looking to replace the outer door glass for Whirlpool model # GR448LXPS-0. This site, as well as others, list W10144884 as the replacement part. However, I ordered this part and it is the wrong part. What is the appropriate part?
1 Answer Hello Josh. The correct outer door for this model number in stainless steel is part number WPW10330077. If the panel is too small you will have purchase the assembly part number W10409956. To request a return on this part you will need to log into your account and request a RMA, thanks! Read More...
Mike P. August 04, 2012 for Model Number GR448LXPB I am inquiring to see what would be needed to change this black range to stainless? Basically what parts of my current door needs replacement? (The door on the stainless model appears to wrap around the right and left edges, where my black one is a piece of glass with trim pieces on the side). Other than the door it looks like a new bottom drawer and console would complete the job.
1 Answer Hello Mike! The top and side door trims, cooktop, control panel end caps, knobs, overlay, and door handle will all remain black in color. The stainless parts needed are part numbers 9759033 for the backguard panel and WPW10330077 for the outer stainless glass panel. You will need to order two door hinges, part number WP8272822, to use with the stainless outer door panel. Also, the black lower door trim needed for the stainless model is part number WP8523180.
