For Whirlpool Glass-Door (Stl) Panel Assembly (Part Number: OEM18059088)

Hi Todd. The bottom and side trim screws do need to be used to help hold the outer door glass. The outer door panel will have standoff tabs on it to hold the glass assy. a little off the front so there is a slight gap in between the two. If there are tabs on the back of the glass , make sure these tabs do not contact one another making it too thick to align the screw holes for the trim screws. Thank You.

Greg for Model Number rf368lxps0

Now that the hinges are on, this is the way I had to do it. I line the slots up with hinges and had to take a screwdriver and pull out the hinges from door on to the oven slots. It takes a lot to do it now that it is done. Once you open the door it's does not stay in the open or down position. I have to hold down for it to stay if not it will go up on it's own. Still I'm am happy with that. Maybe you can tell me what is the problem and can I use the oven without the outer glass it on. Order from Appliance parts. Thanks a lot.

Hi Greg. The door hinge springs are included with the hinge. Door Hinge-Part Number: WP8053807. This hinge is for painted door only. For stainless steel door use WP8272822. This may be the issue of the door not opening and staying open. Did you place the hinge outer hooks properly in the frame ? Thank You.

Hello Sally. Here are the instructions on how to remove and replace the door assembly. Hope this helps. 1. Open the door approximately half way and install a nail or screw into the hinge hangers on each side of the door. 2. Close the oven door as far as the nails or screws will allow. 3. Grasp the sides and lift the door until it stops, then rotate the door toward the floor, and pull it toward you. Don't use the handle to lift the door off. To reinstall new door W10409956, 1. Grasp the sides of the door with your fingers on the front of the door and your thumbs on the inside surface. 2. Rest the bottom of the hinge hanger on the bottom of the slot in the range. 3. Position the door with the hinge hanger slots almost parallel to the front frame. 4. Push up and in until the hinge hanger slots become fastened to the range, then lower the door, and rotate it slightly from the front to the back until the slots are fully fastened. The hinge hanger will be close to the bottom of the front frame slot. 5. Open the door about half way and remove the nails or screws. 6. Close the door.
